Adobe 8 is GREAT
Yippee. Had two big loan packages to print today. Used Abode 8 and the prior comments are true. It spools like a dream and speeds printing.
It releases my computer back to me quickly so I can do other things and continues to feed data to the printer in the background.
If you are bored over the holiday weekend, it would be a good time to great the free reader upgrade on Adobe 8 for 2007!
Thank you Adobe!

Memory
You might not need more memory with Adobe 8 for your printer. Documents spool beautifully. Thus, you might need more memory at all or it might be more worthwhile to buy it for your PC.
Hopefully, other people will chime in on this, but I think it might save peopel money going forward it printer memory can be avoided.
Plus, when Vista comes out from Microsoft in the Spring, multi tasking should be further improved. Hopefully, decrease the need more printer memory. Also as people transition to dual core PCs, the need could could decrease further.
Thus, you might be able to save some cash and get along just fine without printer memory.

Did anybody have problems with Adobe 7?
I updated to 7 and had major problems. I finally deleted it and re-installed 6.
Does anybody know if I have to upgrade to 7 as well as 8... or can I skip 7?

Hey girl!
I had major problems with 7 as well and can tell you, that since down loading 8 yesterday, I have had no problems. I printed a scanned image file off a TC website today lick-idy-split. Give it a try, I did and I'm glad I did.

Great to know I can skip from 6 to 8
I'm still using Adobe 6 as so many notaries reported major headaches with version 7. I'm relieved to read all the posts that version 8 works much better than version 7 and that it just might resolve some of those ssssllloooowwwww printing docs problems. I run an HP1300 and love it.
