BEWARE OF NIKOLOS CLOSING SERVICES

Gus Nikolos of Nikolos Closing Services out of Broomall, PA does NOT pay. I have made numerous attempts to reach him, but he refuses to return calls or e-mails. As a last resort, I contacted the title company. Their response is that they have had scores of calls from signers who had not been paid by Gus. The title company did assure me that it would no longer use Gus. Title said they had done their part by making payment to Gus, and that I would just have to "chalk it up" to an unfortunate loss. I do most of my closings directly for the title companies, but this man Gus seemed so nice that I let him talk me into doing this closing. If fact, I made two trips for this one with two complete printings, since the HUD had mistakes on the first appointment. If anyone else has had any relationship with this Nikolos Closing Services, please respond. Thanks, Betty

I did one closing for them in August of 05 - took me til late October to be paid. I then put them on my list. I did, however, email them every day for payment towards the end. Nag ... Nag...Nag. Good Luck.

I have emailed him over and over with no response. I did report him today to the PA Better Business Bureau. Maybe that will help.

Thanks for the response. "Going legal" is time consuming, and can end of costing more money, but I have reported him to the BBB.

I am sure he is also a notary so I would report him to the Commonwealth of PA. I don't think anyone should be allowed to be commissioned if they are doing such dishonest practices. He called me a few times during the summer and I just got a BAD feeling about him. I got the impression that he was a notary trying to farm out work and I never do business with that situation (too risky). I am happy I didn't take any closings from him after hearing all the bad stuff. Good luck.

I have closed a couple for him and it was paid over 90 days both times after numerous phone calls.......never again.

NIKOLOS CLOSING SERVICES

I did a signing for Gus in May and had to call about payment. After I talked to him the first time (left a few voicemail messages and finally got him live), he said he was mailing out the check...then I called again after a few weeks when I didn't get anything and he got my address over the phone and said he was sending the check out that day...I did get a check by the next week, but by then it was mid-August...haven't heard from him since.
Just wanted to let you know that I DID get paid - so maybe that gives you a little bit of hope
