CRESPA CERTIFIED

I am a little confused I just had a signing company contact me about doing signings for them. I told them that I am Certified Signing Agent and I have E & O insurance and then they asked if I was CRESPA Certified. I explained to them that I was understanding that I would have to be a Real Estat Broker, Licensed Title Insurance Agent or an Attorney. I am so confused?

If you are not CRESPA certified and doing closings in VA, I think you're in trouble. Use the orange seach button to find out more.

We can do closings in Virginia if we are not CRESPA certified. We just cannot handle funds either to or from the borrower. At least that is how it is right now. CRESPA certification (or a TPL) may be required in the future - we keep hearing that it's coming.
