Collecting what is yours!

After all the hard work, time and money that you put into your profession don't you think you should get paid?

Well here are some things that do not compromise your integrity:

A. Try dealing with the owner first and foremost.
B. Give firm deadlines on your actions and stick to them.
C. Report the company to the BBB (http://search.bbb.org/)
D. Contact the Lender/Title Company - they have as much of a stake in this as you do. Their business depends on us as we depend on them.
E. Always be professional - even when it is hard to do so. You get more bees with honey.
F. Post your dealings with the firm on forums such as these - let other notaries know about these firms. The less we patronage/service these firms the sooner they will leave the business. There is strength in numbers!

I hope this helps. Good luck with your collections. Hope they are few and far between.
