I don't think so...

I'm not an expert in the paper issue, but I know a little about Staples price matching.

They will not match the price of member-only stores (Costco) or online-only sellers (Quill)

They will match the online price of a brick and mortar store. I got a nice rebate from them on a GPS I bought that was on WalMarts website cheaper.

I got a great price on paper from a regional paper store that services printing companies. Here (Bay Area CA) is was Expedex... you might check wherever your local printshop buys paper.

Re: I don't think so...

Gary, I take a receipt from Costco to my local Staples and they match it every time. The manager pulls up a screen and there is listed all their competitors, including Sam's, Costco's and Bj's. I show what I paid at Costco and he takes $16.00 off their price and I waltz out the door having paid Costco's price at Staples. As an aside, I believe that the quality of paper is better at Costco, but I buy at Staples, because I always seem to be going that way.

I stand corrected... good news...

might be a different manager or a new policy... either way it's welcomed news.

A couple years back one of the kids in a Costco vest nailed me taking photos of electronics display and told me I couldn't do that because I might be taking the picture elsewhere for price-matching. Actually that wasn't what I was up to, but appreciated the tip. I heeded his admonition very carefully...for at least two minutes.

Re: I stand corrected... good news...

I live in a small town and staples is THE only office supply in town.... and they will match ANYBODY'S price.

FYI: I also have asked... when this is on sale what will be the price? Almost any office supply (esp Fry's) will say you can have the sale price today....as you say ok, thank you and walk away.....

I have been given the sale price on a printer, paper etc

I must be blind. I usually purchase my supplies from Quill and am pretty familiar with their site & prices. BUT, I can't find anything close to these prices - cheapest I can find is $7.19 a ream. Do you have the code number or can you tell me where you found it? I assume this is Quill brand paper. I've also got a coupon so if I can find your sale, I'll be getting a great bargain.

In my area Staples charges $7.25. But I can go to Giant foodm, who carries Staples products and get if for $5.29--go figure.
