Guess how many calls I got yesterday???

Blizzard conditions, snow up to my ???, ice 1/2 inch thick and I get calls from SS's wanting me to get out and do those signings that just "have to be done tonight". They did not get done last night, and guess what? they won't get done today either! Road conditions where I am are not expected to improve much before Monday.

I too got more calls then normal, we had horrible winds and cold cold air, my guess is notaries just didn't want to go out....it is never worth risking an accident. Lawrence stay safe you have some major weather issues to deal with.....

Your right LKA, This storm turned put to be a monster (for a better word). I have 8 inches of snow where I am, and 2 inches can close this state up, hehe. At least the sun is shinning today, but the temp isn't expected to get above 28.

I've had calls before, durring and after hurricanes. Go figure...I guess some are not to concerned with what goes on outside there four walls.

Lawrence...

Stay safe! I know it used to floor me when I would visit my Mom in OK, just south of Tulsa, and it would snow, and everything in that small town would shut down! (That was with just as small amt of snow.) But I also noticed I didn't see snow plows out on the road the way we do here, so I don't know if they only run those on the Interstates there and in the City or what. Anyway, stay safe and don't go out unless it's an emergency!

Lawrence -- I feel for ya!

The last time I was in OK was Christmas 2000 -- during the worst ice storm since the 1920's to hit OK. Airports were closed, which was ok, since power lines were down everywhere blocking the roads. Got to stay an extra 2 days because of it -- without power!! Nothing like sponge bathing with pond water heated over the fireplace...haven't been back since! LOL

cali is bit cold but over all sunny

I didn't get any calls for the last 2 weeks...Frown
I though just because of the holidays people slow down on LS. I guess I was wrong.

I had a good record of my work and had done well, I wonder why I didn't get any calls.

hope this month will improve.

every stay safe and have a happy holiday.

yeah, I was scheduled to be in Bartlesville (1.5 hours away) yesterday morning at 8:30 am.... I woke up at 6:30 and said NO WAY!!! it took my husband an hour to drive 12 miles to work. I called the borrower at 7:30 am and told him it didn't look good and we'd play it by ear. Well, conditions worsened and I had to call back and tell him it wasn't happening~he was very rude and mad & said just cause I was girl and couldn't drive wasn't an excuse I informed him that by doing math, it would take me approximately 4 hours to get there and 4 back, if I didn't wreck....however he declined my offer of him driving down to my house and signing FOR FREE. Karma rocks though because Bartlesville ended up getting the brunt of the storm, they were under a Blizzard warning and had power outages.... I'm just thankful the signing company that assigned it to me had my back, they always do! They were wonderful, they even called me 7:00 am to check on me~to make sure I was NOT driving!

On a lighter note, I'm off to build a snowman and go sledding!!! (thankfully I saved my sleds from living in Red River!)

I wore shorts while I walked my dogs at 8:30 am.

This is the time of year when I remember why I stay in Southern California.
