IT's bee difficult w/E-Docs

receiving E-Docs regularly from SS that came in multiple emails and multiple format setup of the files. Due to the different formats the files had to be downloaded separately, this requires a lot more time to download and print. I wish SS would put everything in one file or even in one format would help reduce the confusion and time, this way it will also improve the accuracy rate of return.

Re: It's been difficult w/E-Docs

Yes, we all have problems with edocs. The different formats are the smallest problem I've encountered, however. Edocs being late is a much, much bigger issue.

Until we can get ALL of the people who do loan signings to reject all signings for which edocs do not arrive on time, we are stuck with late edocs.

Do not expect there to be one universal format. You'll just frustrate yourself.

Re: It's been difficult w/E-Docs

thank you for the confirmation and I do have issues with late e-docs but since I have the tendency to call them back in every 30minutes to f/u it has not been too much of an issue. yes, this had also taken up a lot of my time as well.

Late edocs? START calling 2 hours before appointment time .

... and keep calling. Remember, it takes time to print, read, travel, etc.!

I disagree

Don't waste your time hounding these companies to get edocs to you. First of all, it's not going to make the process go any faster, it's not like they've just forgotten that the docs need to be sent, and you're just causing yourself needless frustration.

If they can't get the docs to you in time for you to print them out and get to your appointment, that's their problem, not yours. Either give the signing back to them or reschedule it for a time that's convenient for you. But don't waste your time sitting around waiting and calling and waiting and calling or passing up other work because you're waiting.

Take control of your own business and do things on YOUR terms, not theirs.

Re: I disagree

Good advice Cali, I don't worry or think about the docs until a 1/2 hr. before I have to leave for the singing. It only takes me 10-15mins. to print and than another 10-15 to review. If the docs haven't sent by that time, than I call the borrower to give notice and than the SS compnay. I then ask for an additional $50.00 which I call the "Aggravation Fee". If they don't like that then find someone else.

Remember its your business. On Friday I had a title company pay the Aggravation fee. My closing was at 2:00 and didn't receive docs until 2:00pm. It kinda srews up your day.

As for those docs that are sent in different formats call them an charge an extra $10.00. SS companies really don't care about how much crap we have to go through.

Re: I disagree

hmm I understand both of your point of view. I should take control to reduce time and frustration.
But I do it due to good customer services.
we'll have to see what the future leads to.

I always let the borrower know that docs may be delayed AND

if it's an hour before appt time, I'll let bwr know appt will be delayed. I tell them they can call their LO to inquire about docs. That usually gets the fire lit...
