I've only just begun
I am breathlessly waiting for my 1st opportunity to do a signing. I was contacted by AKeen Signature Services. Before I jump onto Akeen's boat, I want to know if anyone else out there knows anything about this company. Thanks

It's your first signing, live on the edge. Go for it.

Re: I've only just begun and so the melody goes....
oh never mind that! The first thing to do Sharon is to use the orange search button, also use the signing central tab then post the question. But it doesn't look like this company is known, you might want to just go with it since it's your first signing. Good luck.

We are dating ourselves! 34 years ago, the top 2 wedding songs were both Carpernter's hits: We've Only Just Begun and Close to You, LOL. I am going to have a hard time getting these out of my head today. I think I need to buy their Greatest Hits and go for it!

I'd suggest making some adjustments to their contract before you work for them. I'd scratch out the non-compete clause, as you have no idea who all their clients are. Secondly, I'd add the provision that you get full fee if the loan rescinds or otherwise doesn't fund after you have performed your services and have returned the docs. No-shows/no-signs I generally charge 50% of agreed fee if I haven't done any notarizations.
Where are you in Ohio?
