How do you go online and check to see who's name is on the mortgage? Thank ya!

This feature (in FL, where available) is often located at the county clerk's website.
I google the county/state land records to find the site here.

some recorder's have online services...some don't. Old hippie...make friends with a local TC person, they'll bend over backward to help you, if google doesn't turn up the goods.

Or, be bold and call the TC who insured. Ask for customer service and tell them you notarized the docs for escrow. They won't question you, and will do a search for you to see if it's recorded. Trust me, they won't give you any grief as it's all about customer service right now.
