NOTARYROTARY communities opinion .......
I have an contract conditions notice on my website at http://www.tembladornotarypublic.com. These conditions are located under the "Fee Schedule" section. After having an invoice go over 45 days past due is unacceptable and I had an atty office send a demand letter to First National Closing Agents / Irvine Ca. I believe that this is the expection of those that faithfully contract notaries and pay them in a timely manner. Part of the contents are taken from the atty letter.
It might be aggressive, but I faithfully perform my job like countless other notaries who go out of their way, which many companies will never know the extent of what we go thru!
Good, bad, ugly? I can take it! Good to get some input from the veterans!
Thank-you for your time and God Bless..

Just my personal opinion, but I wouldn't put it on my webpage... perhaps on an invoice if you really feel it is necessary. I have "Net 30" on my invoices and most pay in that time frame... a few up to 5 weeks which is still ok with me. However, I don't hesitate to resend the invoice with big red letters on it saying it's past due when 30 days is past. I follow that up with a phone call. The check is received within a week. I consider myself fortunate in that the only "iffy" payment I've ever had was over 50 days, but was finally paid.
By the way, what ever you have on your voice thingie doesn't work for me. Not sure why.

The music icon is just various soft music... some like it.... some dont.. its an option if you want to listen. Just experimenting.. somedays ill put on jass or some contemporary music.
I thought of placing it on my invoices also.. or maybe both.website and invoice. Still playing it by ear.. Thanks for your thoughts...

It seems pointless to me
The good companies are going to pay you in a timely manner because that's what good companies do. The bad companies aren't going to care in the slightest what your conditions are, if they're gonna screw you they're gonna screw you. I just can't see what you're trying to accomplish here.
But if you do leave it on your website you should rewrite it. That is WAY too long of a sentence. And why is "attorney" abbreviated?

I have not read it but your blurb you have above... jmho -- it completely turned me off. I have done hiring of contractors over the years and w/ what you are saying PLUS you are a peace officer... I would just think trouble stay away...
so my suggestion...fwiw: I would only put that on a PAST due invoice and leave it at that.
I also read anger and this is not going to resolve it. The company you are P/O at is not going to see that....(and I understand your being angry at them but put it in perspective)

I appreciate all of your comments... having only been commissioned since Aug 06, I offer to get the communities opinions because I am entering unto new areas of business that I am not familiar with such as someone paying after 30 days or longer... and with and seeing thru different eyes and hearing thru different ears I get another point of view which helps me become a better person, professional, and a well rounded business person.
And yes.. I did sound rather angry... and who wouldn't... over monies due to them...
I think I will leave that particular statement just for Invoices only...
Thank-you for your time...
& God Bless...

John, I probably shouldn't say this, but as a 'Peace Officer' wouldn't it be easier, and a whole lot more effective just to go and shoot the bastards. The entire notary community would thank you.

Perhaps you've already removed the "contract conditions" section of your Fee Schedule Page. If not, then I can't see 'em.
On another note, I find your use of color for highlighting certain phrases very distracting and unprofessional.
The Notary Resources Page is very nice! Great "Disclosure Statement"!
