OK HP2430tn smart people...help me here
You were all right, I love my printer! It's everything you said it would be...and more! Having said that I have one teeny tiny problem I need help with. When I'm printing docs from a pdf file e-mailed to me....works beautifully and I get superior print quality. When printing from Swiftview I get a shadow (?) or maybe mirror image is better word from a previous page. TS suggests the problem is the cartridge BUT it's brand new and I don't get this image on something I print from say...excel or word. Any hints on how I can clean this up?

Your printer may not be the problem. I've had my HP2430 for a year now and occasionally have less-than-perfect results with individual loan packages. I suspect the problem originates at the other end with the Swiftview scanner. I'm no techie, though.

It's called ghosting and I can't quite remember why, but I know it's not a printer problem. It's something about spooling script within Swiftview and other software.

That's it Andy...I think I'm coming down with that "I forget" disease...early in life of course! I'm happy to know it's not the printer BUT it doesn't look good to me. Does this get us into any probs with the Lender? I had 3 packages yesterday, two e-mails and one Swiftview and the Swiftview was just awful compared to the other two. Anyone that knows me will vouch that I'm definitely not a 'puter/printer person...troubeshooting is like learning another language, a hard one too! Just ask Susan, she'll take an oath on that! Thanks for the input, I feel a bit better BUT would like to be able to solve the problem.

While we're on the subject of Swiftview....
2 days ago I had one....Swiftview said 62 pages. Wahoo....little package! I printed the package and it is my habit to physically count my pages to be sure it matches...I had 79 pages! ~blinks~ I checked everything twice and then figured in my little head that I would check each page against what Swiftview was showing (this was a first for me). Each printed page I had that Swiftview did not show had the correct bo's, correct loan # etc. but they were pages I've never seen before and had no idea what they were. Most had alot of calulations, all had dollars in one column or another. Anyone else run up against this? I called the SS and she had never seen it but told me that "lately Swiftview has had some problems" and she sent me the docs in pdf...of course these pages were not there.

There's a free program called PrimoPDF - it sets itself up as a virtual printer, and whatever you print to it is converted to a PDF which you can then save and print from Acrobat Reader. I haven't tried it with a Swiftview package, but if you some down time you might try playing around with it using a Swiftview package you're having trouble with.
PAW has a link to it on his website, or you can google PrimoPDF to find it.
