Re: OT: Brenda - TX - and tomorrow...
My son gets married for the first time in 25 years!
Thanks for your thoughts on Texas! It helps after that 45-10 punch in my Aggie stomach last night in San Diego. Mean ol' Californians. ...mutter, mutter, mutter.
Okay...it's off to the office for half a day, decorating for the rehearsal dinner this afternoon and watching the emptying out of pockets for the bride's parents tomorrow night.

NO...he doesn't have time to elope. He shoulda done that in April or May. He'll be sorry now if he does for I shall find a wooden spoon and Lisa's directions on how to use it. LOL
THANKS ALL...see you on the "other side."

Brenda-le...My spousal unit advised me to pass on to you
for the groom to not settle for 2 chickens and a cow for the dowry...that the bride (if she is TRULY worthy of belonging to your family) is worth many times more and he should hold out for at least 3 chickens and 4 cows...(old Jewish custom....I got my bride for 2 chickens and a cow and she NEVER lets me forget it)...:-).....anyway "sis", mazel tov again to you (da mamma!)...mazel tov to the maidel (the gnu bride) and mazel tov to the groom (tell him to speak up loud and clear when he says...."I do???" "I mean I DO" LOL
Have a great weekend, enjoy, and "Don't be a nudge"
"Doc"

Re: Brenda-le...My spousal unit advised me to pass on to you
Doc, you made me laugh. My son recently spent a month in Greece and I told him he was not to come home with a bride - that I would be negotiating the proika (dowry) and I was not settling for chickens and in the locale he was in goats, rather than your cows. Of course, being the handsome one from America, he was quite the 'celebrity' (his words) with the young ladies and their mothers.
Congratulations Brenda on your new daughter
