OT: Thank you for your prayers
Just a quick message - I am tired! I got a call this morning from Bruce's boss - he works for a TV repair company. He said Bruce had a heart attack while he was on a service call and they called an ambulance to get him to the hospital. I got a hold of my youngest daughter - she lives close to us - to have her take me to the hospital, and I called his brother's wife in Orlando, who said she would get a hold of his brother and they would be right over to the hospital. When I got there they had already got him in the cath lab and his heart doctor was with him. One of his stents had a 100% blockage and they had done a balloon angioplasty to clear it. They have him in ICU and when I left him he was sleeping. I don't know how long they will keep him in. I may know tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers and I ask if you will keep him in your prayers until he is able to come home. It is 12 years to the day since his father died (December 5th 1994).

All our prayers are with him. Also thank you for the post b/c I had angioplasty which the doctors placed 3 stents on my RCA in October 2005. I did not know that the stents get blocked again. I did another stress test last November and everything was OK. I guess when he fully recovers, he should check the stents out ervery 6 month.

Re: OT: Thank you for your prayers - Hassan
Yes, stents can get blocked again. He had a check up a couple of years ago and they found a blocked stent, and they replaced that one. But he will not take care of himself. He hasn't quit smoking - he doesn't believe smoking is a factor!!!! He eats the wrong things, I tell him he needs to quit eating so much red meat and junk food. And he needs to take his meds regularly, not when he feels like it. What is it about men that they seem to think they are immortal?

We're not immortal???? (j/k)
Not all men are like that. I religiously take my meds and drastically changed my diet when I had my surgery. Maybe Bruce will head the warning this time. (I hope so, for your sake and his.)

Hey Sylvia. I wish your husband recovered health and reparation and strength and I wish you continued faith, endurance, patience and understanding. Know in these times that we have to believe in the power of prayer and the greater good. In times like these the pslams never fail. A fave of my late granddad was Pslam 121... Very simple not too long and it's very hopeful, and it gives you comfort knowing that He will take care everything.
