Out of State purchase

Some much needed help from some more experienced notary loan signers! I just did a signing at a mortgage co. for a home purchase in Idaho and the buyers live in Calif. Now, some docs already had State of Idaho (including the DOT which I know is ok) imprinted on docs. Was I supposed to attach my own jurat on the other docs? Or just notarize the venue as Calif./co. I may have to go back. Thanks!

The venue (County and State) is where you are notarizing the documents not where the property is

Always, no matter what state you are in, always the venue is the state and county the signer has appeared before you.

I never done a purchase for a property in Idaho but I have done a few for a properties in Texas and Georgia and I always attach a California Ack and a jurat with Ca wording. Like some one else said, the venue is where are your feet when you notarize the signature of the buyers
