Santa brought me....
... a Garmin Street Pilot 330. If you're considering getting a GPS navigator, this is definitely one to take a look at. Extremely easy to use touch-screen, and dead-on accurate. Garmin makes other models that have additional bells and whistles, but this one does the basic job and does it very well. I have a Garmin handheld GPS that I use recreationally for hiking and geocaching so I know they make a good product, but this one really impressed me.
I've had a couple of evening signings this week, and didn't have to worry about finding the right house in the dark - the nice lady in the little box on the dashboard announced "You have arrived at your destination, on your right" just as I approached the house. Wow - no more driving around aimlessly trying to find house numbers on darkened streets. What a concept...

Santa brought one to me too!!! I can't tell you how much I love it!! It is rural here, no streetlights, rainy and very dark!! Already I have felt safer getting to signings and back home again. It not only has maps that show CLEARLY the names of the streets that you are passing, but it also gives verbal directions (in a female voice - didn't want some guys voice telling me "where to go!" . It is amazingly user-friendly. Don't know what Santa paid for this little gadget but I highly recommend it to each of you!! Happy New Year all!!

I finally bought a Magellan Roadmate 760 a month ago. Don't know how I ever got around without it. Gives you two mile notice on the highways, half a mile, then rings a bell when it's time to turn. If your in town, it tells you that you "are approaching" your turn.
If you don't mind having a female giving directions, you can choose male instead. I personally don't feel like having a male tell me what to do, either
I also love the "you have arrived at your destination" after being told whether the house is on the left or right.

Re: Santa brought me the Averatec 350 Voya
I drove from Dallas, TX to Pittsburgh, PA with it. It has the cool feature of avoid toll roads, or highways, you can calculate the quickest route, or look for points of interest along the way, WoW! Not bad for a GPS newbie...

Re: Santa brought me one also and
boy is that thing smart.....can find these Maine houses in the dark, with no street lights, no porch lights and it doesn't even need an address on the mail box that is usually down the road opposite someone else's house. If I had known they were this good I would have bought myself one years ago. But, they probably didn't have all the "bugs" worked out of them then. Thank you Santa.
