unless you are WAY gnu...NOBODY in their right mind (or left mind) would work for SOX, or be into them for so much money. (no offense Dave...but IMHO...you're screwed)

OHHHHHHH MY GOD!!!!!!
Well Dave either, you didn't believe us or this must be your first time posting here. If you would've done a search on here you would've stopped doing business with them waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before it got to that amount. That is alot of money.

I wish you luck collecting all the money.

SOX-You might get paid

People seem to be getting paid a little better.

Be sure to bill them as they require.

It will likely be a struggle but if you are patient and persistent, you may get your money.

I would not do any more signing while there balance is that large.

"I would not do any more signing while there balance is that large"

But you'd do more signings for them if they did finally pay you?

Seriously, go via internet directly to the BBB in Aliso Viejo, CA & file a complaint. Nothing else seems to work with SOX. And, while you're there, check out all the other complaints filed for the exact same reason. For future reference, don't ever let any co. get into you that much again. Good luck... I'm afraid you're going to need it.

Re: Sign on the X--SOX A bit of advice Dave

1. do research on companies in your free time. You'll find a lot of information if you will just read past posts. Use the orange search button.

2. don't let any one company get into you for that much. Personally I would rather keep that amount of money spread out among a bunch of good companies rather than one dead beat company.

3. Hire a good collection company. For that amount of money it would be worth it to you to pay a professional collect.

Good luck

If I were you I'd get a certified return reciept letter out today stating what is owed to you and when you expect them to pay you. You also need to go back through all those emails they sent you and find where the docs originated and start calling those folks everyday. When you get them on the line be polite but forceful and explain as of today you have yet to be paid and you need their assistance in getting paid. At first they will say it's not their fault, yada, yada, yada. This is when you explain to them that SOX is thier agent and that Sox has not paid you and you expect them to help you remedy this situation, since they collected the money for notary services provided on the HUD. Be persistent and they will pay, just go through those emails and call everyone listed on them to get your money. From where I sit you have 1500 reasons to start raising a little He**. Good Luck

A Suggestion

I stopped doing signings for SOX years ago and am amazed that this goes on and on. Perhaps its time to contact the local DA or State Attorneys office about these folks

Online BBB worked for me, it's painless. Be concise, be

accurate, and be paid. i.e.:

Date of signing/ref #/date due for each.

Total overdue:
Total due: [include most recent]

Tried to contact, no results.

Re: I see that you are posting from Maryland...

I went to the Maryland Insurance Administration's website, and looked up your name on the "Producer Search" function. Unless your real name is Dana or Donald, your name is not found. You are not a licensed title insurance producer for MD, and you are not legally allowed to conduct remote signings in Maryland. Furthermore, having been screwed by the worst signing service out there, and for such a large amount of money, clearly you are very new to this business. You were so excited to get repeated phone calls from SOX, huh? Think you were making the big bucks, huh? Everyone else knows better. Everyone else also knows that you have to be propertly title licensed in MD.

If you really are signing in MD, you had better put that notary stamp away and go get yourself properly title licensed NOW by the Maryland Insurance Administration. Read your notary handbook for the rules on notarizing deeds that cause title insurance policies to be issued. If ANY of the loans you have already signed have any title disputes over those properties in the future, the title insurance policies written for those lenders could be deemed invalid by the courts because an unlicensed notary conducted the remote signing at the borrower's house with no loan officer, or other licensed person, present at the time of signing. That means the lenders actually have NO worthwhile title insurance policies on the properties for the loans that you have already signed, or may sign in the future.

If you are not signing in MD, then I apologize for this post in advance. But there are just too many people out there who are "just notaries" and try to get away with doing loan signings in MD. This harms everyone in the business in the long run. And now, even you are harmed because it will take you MONTHS to get paid by SOX, if you're even that lucky. And if you're unlicensed in MD and try to take legal action over non-payment, just watch them argue that you didn't follow THEIR rules, which state that you have to follow the rules of the state in which you conduct signings in order to work for the signing service. You probably technically broke their IC contract expectations as well.

Again, that is if you are actually in MD, which your post suggests.

Good luck to you.
