Signatures Plus. No pmt in 5 months

I did a signing in July 2006 for Signatures Plus. I have not received payment. I wrote to the BBB and they contacted them and they told BBB the check was written and would be in the mail that week. That was over a month ago. After more emails and phone calls and threats nothing seems to get their attention. It is only $90 but I told them I would not go away and I won't.

According to BBB there are alot of complaints against them. Do they owe anyone else money? Any ideas how I can collect? I was told to contact FTC.gov. Any other ideas before I go that route.

I thought of filing a small claims but I am in NC and they are in CA so not sure which state I would have to do it in. $90, plus cost of court, plus 5 months of aggrivation. (sp)

I am leary to do anymore signings period because of this.

Any sugggestions please.

Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Donna

Re: Signatures Plus

They owe me for two that I did. The first one was 11/7 & I was in the car when I took the assignment. You know how you tend to try to multi-task when you're on the road...well, I took another assignment on 11/25 and then after I closed out my November and headed into December the thought occured to me "Hey this company doesn't pay, per Not.Rot. & GMN" So, I guess you & I have joined the club with the other "poor souls that will get stiffed" by some of them out there. But I will continue to "BUG" them until they are sorry they ever heard my name. Who knows, it might even work, it did a couple of times with others.

Find the emails that confirmed the job

Then go down to the Title company section and find the person listed there. Start giving that person a call once a day, asking where your payment is. After a week or two,if you have not gotten satisfaction start calling in the morning and the afternoon. Of course each time you speak to this person be polite, but forceful and explain that all you want is to be paid. You will be surprised how quickly things will turn in your favor, for most people do not like to explain others inactions and will soon remedy the situation.

Re: Find the emails that confirmed the job

A trick I used is to constantly fax their "fax back" number. Honestly, do it about 300 times a day and you'll start getting responses and money out of them. It took about 3 days for me to get their attention. It's a toll free number so you won't get charged, and it's their only "fax back" number so go for it. Just in case you don't have it, the number is 1-888-245-2119. If you do a search, the President's cell phone is listed on one of these messages. Since you're in NC why not call her around 7 or 8 your time which will be 4 or 5 her time.
