To CaliNotary -
I don't like your attitude. Just sucking it up and asserting my backbone, wanted to let you know. Glad you are so successful, ... not! Maybe it's the way the thread works but your response appears to be directed at me for something I didn't say. Anywho ... Fa La La la La and have some more of that Christmas Cheer.

Re: Respectfully submit... "WHAT?"
When Person A is perceived to be rude by Person B, and Person B starts a thread to tell Person A they don't like their attitude and that they are not successful, etc., I always wonder how Person B can tell the difference between their own attitude and the perceived rudeness of Person A's attitude.
It's public forum . . . lots of opinions are stated. Some we like and some we don't. It's not personal. It's just differences of opinion.

Re: To Cindi_TN
Cali gave you VERY good advice. It's too bad you're too sensitive to accept constructive criticism. You may want to check out the noob, whiner & miss-information board instead of the "The Premier Web Site for Professional Notaries."
Good luck getting any of you questions answered now that you have shown us all just how ungrateful you really are. Oh, and good luck in this business. If you can't take it from Cali, you have no business in the field. Jeez, the woman I had to deal with tonight would have sent you off running and crying for your Momma.

Cindi, Just want to help...
I have been in this business since June and I have learned good things from reading Cali's posts. Everyone conducts their own business in the way they are most comfortable. You asked a question and got a bunch of good input. I personally liked that thread and will use the information. IMHO. So thank you for posting and have a great holiday.

Dear Cindi
Kiss my butt. I could care less what you think about my attitude.
As for my success, I've now been supporting myself exclusively from loan signings for just about 3 years now, and I live in one of the most expensive cost of living areas in the country. You should wish to be such a failure as I.

And that's why I read your posts. Yes, the sweet
smell of success. Ok I don't smell it yet but someday : ) Cali, you must live in San Diego? My sister lives there and loves it.

Los Angeles actually
But I've been toying with the idea of getting out of CA completely. I'm successful, but not successful enough to pay for a $400,000+ mortgage for a starter home.

I have areas in Florida that I need to fill. The weather is much better here...from a Cali transplant.
If you should relocate. we would be honored to have you.

What are you smoking, Becca? FL weather's better than CA? Sure, if you like humidity, hurricanes and misquitos.

Try Texas...but just consider signing a part-time gig
I think you might really like Austin. Weather is nice. Texas is generally pretty mild below the panhandle. I love my smaller town, but Austin holds many fond memories for me. Growing like crazy. San Antonio is great. Dallas might be your cup of tea...but Houston has way too much rain, IMHO. There are still some places in Texas where you can get a starter home for lots less than CA.

My Momma left Cali for TX with her pockets full in 2005. TX, CO and ID are hot for my clientele now.

$400,000... what??? Did you put down half???
Yeah, the price of homes is a bit discouraging, but I was born and raised here, I love it and I'm staying.

me too, but I just did not want to handle a million of debt as the primary
i did look in the canyons as I grew up in the bay area and we had the beach house on the beach and thought about that area but decided i did not want to live in an area(the canyons) that you are trapped on either side due to weather or accidents....

You really need to get a grip. I have seen Cali's post that have some Attitude and that one wasn't even close. Maybe you need to go back and review all the responses again. I didn't see a HairyGodmother among them.

Actually Cindi you will warm up to Brian after a while. He is a second generation Loan Document Specialist with one of the smartest Notaries I know for a Mom. Were all just lucky she retired or we would all be like school kids in a class room and Janet with the ruler wacking our knuckles. He learned from the best, just be thankful he hangs out here.

I love California. I am in the Napa and Sonoma area. I brought back in 1981. Very good decision at that time. Now it would be too expensive. I will stand and enjoy my small town.

Joe...
I find this breach of confidentiality distasteful and I think you should put a gag in it. Some people, like me for instance, don't link to our profiles for very good reasons but certain of my friends do know who I am. If they breach my confidentiality and then start posting about who my family is or who my mother is... we're going to have a problem.
Cali probably doesn't give a rat's a$$... but I think it shows a lack of tact on your part.

Re: To CaliNotary, Joe, etal
Joe, I imagine this was posted with the best of intentions and while I share your respect for both Cali and his mother, I, like Angelina, was a bit surprised at your disclosures. Even though he has been "outed" here before, he *has* chosen to post under a different handle. Personally, I would hope that others who know ME, would leave it me to decide how much personal info to disclose - and where and when. And by extension, I feel it only right to treat others the same way.
[And for the record for those of you who are new - he is talking about a different Janet. I probably got my first MB wire-brushing from her - along with some of the best advice I ever received online. Her input is greatly missed! However, I think Cali has done a great job of helping to fill the void - in more ways than one! ;> ]
