Update on the rejected DOT for Missouri
They did record, must have been a new recorder on Wednesday. Anyway, I did another today and am using their ACK on the DOT. Now I don't know what goes in the blank. Please advise. TIA See blank below.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my official seal in the ____________________ and State aforesaid, the day and year first above written.
Went to Missouri SOS site but couldn't find this wording. Would the word "County" go there or County and name of County?

Since You've Discovered...
...that "County" is the customary word inserted there, I'll throw a curveball at you based on a quirk in Missouri venues. If you're a MO Notary & performing your Notary duty in the City of St Louis, then "City and State" would apply. The City of St Louis is technically not situated in a Missouri County & is considered to be an entity of its own. The venue would be "City" & not "County".

Re: Since You've Discovered...
Kind of like San Francisco which is a city and county of San Francisco, the venue still reads county of San Francisco.

It's a Little Different...
...in that there is a County of St Louis which almost completely surrounds the City of St Louis, but they're two separate entities. The City of St Louis is not considered a County for Missouri venue purposes, but rather as a City. St Louis County IS considered a County for venue classification.
