Wow! The Orange Search Button Really Works!

I received edocs today from a new (to me) Lender. They said the docs were in PDF. The attachment to my email said PDF. But when I tried to open the docs I would only get a blank screen with the word "done" in the bottom left hand corner. I tried forwarding the email to my 2nd email address but that didn't help. I was tempted to type my question on the board but a little voice said "try the search button first". I did! Message #76347 came through for me. Makes me wanna hug my computer and plant a wet kiss on NotRot's home page. A big "thank you" to those of you have been around for years sharing your knowledge and to Harry for achiving the threads.

So what worked...

saving to desktop or changing the security settings? Just interested.

Given a choice, ...

... always download edocs to your computer then open 'em. Opening PDF files directly (that is, not through your Internet browser) is likely to give you more control and a bigger image. Also, you can always reprint easily! Ever run out of toner, have a paper jam, etc.?r

Larry & Ernest

It was the "save as" instructions. Ernest, thank you for those other tips as well. I know the basics when it comes to software but that's it. It sure helps to know the "work arounds".

I learn something new....

all the time here. I have ALWAYS opened these files, never saved the to my computer. The exception being TIFF files, which I save and convert to pdf. From the get-go I thought that I didn't want to put these on my computer, I just wanted to print them. And yes, they are small I'm always changing the magnification to read them. Never had a problem but will remember to try the 'save to' option if I do. Am I alone here opening instead of saving? What other problems besides being small am I getting into by doing this?

Thanks for the info, Larry

I tried today to do a search for Expert signings and the search button didn't work.
