affidavit of consideration(non purchase money transaction)
This doc is right after the dot. This is for an agent of the secured party. I do not notarize this correct. Since that person is not appearing before me. This package I am looking at does not have a name entered. Some title companies I work for and do closings in their offices I notarize this because I know the person whose name appears. thanks

When you are inside of a title company, do you notarize it when the person you know is not appearing in front of you to sign?

Okay...you know they have to be there, then.
You need a signature to notarize.
So....if someone is not going to be there for outside of a title company...you can't notarize the document, right?

"I am a newbie and this affidavit keeps showing up in the packages and I do not sign."
The reason it keeps showing up in packages is because Maryland requires it. Read page 18, paragraph 44 of the 2006 notary manuel.

Re: affidavit of consideration - no signature required?)
How do you handle the fact that there is no place for a signature?

"How do you handle the fact that there is no place for a signature?"
I have not had the pleasure of having an agent of the party secured by the deed of trust appear before me, so I have never had to notarize the affidavit of consideration. I believe however that paragraphs 45 and 46 spell out the procedures, from what I read no signature is required just an oath.

I agree. This is the only situation I can think of where we don't have to have a signature to notarize. Wierd.
