holiday vacation

I was going to try and get away for a few days. I would guess the week between Christmas and New Years is pretty slow and I would not miss to much work? Am I correct in this assumption?

You are correct.

There may be a few exceptions, but generally that week is dead.

2005 we were busy till 12/23 and it drop dead till jan 2006. Christmas till 1/3 is a good time to go away, spend extra time with family.

2004 I did 6 closings on Christmas Eve..7 on New Yrs. Eve.
2005 did 4 on Christmas Eve, 3 on New Yrs. Eve.
You just never know about this business...BUT the Eve's fall on Sundays this yr and the Holidays on Mondays.
You have be your own judge & jury on this one.. your business..your vacation.
