What do you mean "awkward items"? Do you mean the
loan docs?

Re: What do you mean "awkward items"? Do you mean the
when the mortgage company sends me the loan documents, he said there is a certain item in the email I will have to load onto my computer to get them or view them. He said that the company is a little leary about using me because it is my first time but he assured them that I should be okay.

you may have to download a viewer to get the docs. They should let you know what it is and give you a link. There are several ways to get docs.

awkward...to me this means...a divorce where there will be a quit claim deed....or the instructions would tell you to collect funds from the borrower. I can't think of anything else that would be considered awkward. just my opinion.

maybe just a viewer that I may not already have on my computer?

I think I have every viewer out there, so yell if you need a link and aren't provided with one. Good luck!

Installing edocs software from the company is OK
I've never had any problems with any of the edocs software programs I've loaded onto my computer. Most links to the software installation site came directly from the lender or title company. Also, PAW has several of the links on his notary website in case you need any of them. I would not be at all worried about downloading and installing whatever is needed to open the edocs packages as long as the source of the software (the link to the installation site) was from a trusted source.

Re: Installing edocs software from the company is OK
Sounds like the agent thought it might be "awkward" simply because he or she had no idea how comfortable Kelli might be with installing new software. No big deal - this can definitely be a soft place to fall in situations like that...
