About Adobe upgrades
Some time ago, it was posted by several people about a problem with the Adobe upgrades higher than 7.0 (I believe) so I have not upgraded higher than this. Does anyone have any new info/comments? Has the problem been resolved for those who had a problem? And those who just chose to upgrade did you run into a problem? I'm tired of the little pop up box everytime I hit print for a PDF.

Re: About Adobe upgrades... Two Days ago I had a problem...
Two days ago I was prompted to update Adobe...... so I did.
After the ugrade I couldn't open up PDF files online automatically (like what I was used to). And for some reason, my ctrl alt dlt function stopped working!!! I went onto www.hp.com online troubleshooting and they couldn't figure out the problem.
The technician sent me a link to go download a cab (or cad) that would restore the ctrl alt dlt function. IT DIDN'T WORK!! When I tried to install it (after downloading), I got an error message saying that some h_key thingy was missing.
I had to do a destructive recovery >>>> thank God I burnt the recovery set CD's!!
Everything on my computer is back to normal now. Adobe keeps prompting me to upgrade Adobe (once again)... yet I refuse to do it now.
I'm not sure if the Adobe was my problem. I did use Registry Cleaner... so I'm not sure if that was the problem or not. I find it coincidental that I did the Adobe upgrade and suddenly had problems.
Until I hear good feedback, I will not upgrade my Adobe!!!

My Computer information...
I am using an HP Pavillion a1213w (fully upgraded [DVD/CD burner; lightscribe technology, etc.]) .
The computer hasn't given me any probelms whatsoever, UNTIL I upgraded the Adobe.
I didn't know if this was relevant, but I figured I'd post my computer information.

Re: My Computer information...
A few months back this problem was discussed in depth. I don't remember the msg# but PAW gave it a good go round. As I remember, you must totally delete your existing version of Adobe prior to downloading Version 7 & up. If you don't, I guess that's what causes probs.

Re: Adobe upgrading
I guess I'm not using the right keywords to make that particular thread come up when I search. I remember it too. I guess I just want to know should I upgrade or should I just ignore the prompt? I really don't want any computer headaches right now.
