Appointments for Tax Lien Signings...
I was contacted to do them today. They probably won't use me.
I explained to the lady that the bottom line is about profit...you cannot get loyalty for a cheap signing - for $50 I cannot tie up myself into a non-compete clause...I will not promise not to solicit their clients. For $100 I would sign a contract not to solicit clients...I certainly would.
They offered $30 for pictures then they wanted you to do the tax liens signing for $50. At first it sounds good, but then think about $30 / five photos, then $50 for a 40 page package to sign.
But now, think about two trips for $80. Two different days, etc.
I called them right back after thinking it over--I had only agreed to go do the pictures at that point.

Good point Brenda, never thougtht about the value in signing a non-compete. I have about 15 emails from company hounding me to sign/return their contract (updating their database) so they can give me the work. I haven't got around to any, but the phone still ring like crazy.
Should I or should I not, I've been thinking about them lately. February will probably another record month for me here. I'm booked 3/day through rest of next week.

My only thought is that these emails are simply housekeeping for SS. I suppose it's easier if they already have those forms that are important (to them) on file, rather than ask for each signing.
Perhaps Sherry, or another SS can shed more light.
