Does the Mobile Notary notorize the Assingment of Deed of Trust or is this for the recorder to notorize?

In the state of Texas a notary can notarize the signatures on the deed. The deed has to be properly recorded and marked as such by the County Clerk. If the deed is presented to the county clerk and signed in front of the county clerk the signatures dont have to be notarized the filing of such will serve as proper id of the signer. In California I am not sure how that would be handled. Perhaps on thier Secertary of State site they have the Notary Public laws and requirements. In Texas we do. Hope this helps

If the name to be notarized is not the person appearing before you then you don't notarize. Just take a good look at the doc and familiarize yourself with it. Don't let yourself get thrown off by a doc that is new to you. You'll do just fine.

This was one of my first questions also. sue with a little "s" answered my question. Leave it in the file and don't worry about it.
After the loan closes, the Assignment of DOT or the Transfer of Lien may be used to "sell" the loan. That is a simple way to say it.
It's not transferring ownership, or interest in the title--just the debt on it.
