BOYCOTT NATIONS DIRECT NOW AND FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
About one hour ago I recieved a call from the rudest man at Nations Direct, a signing service in California, who asked me if I could do a signing where I live. I ask him what town it was and he said "Does it matter, All you have to do is worry about getting paid"!!!!!!!!!! I have been a notary for years, and so I ask how much it pays. He replies "Forty Dollars"!!!!! Forty Dollars to do a signing!! We as professionals cannot stand for this treatment any longer!!!! I want as many notaries across this nation to BOYCOTT NATIONS DIRECT!!!!!!!!!!! I will no longer do any more signings for this company and have the support of many of my friends and fellow notaries!!!! I want you to join me in stopping this company abuse us notaries!!!!!!! I can see them now laughing at us for getting paid so little and us filling their pockets with tons of money that we earn for them!! This is the first in a multitude of postings to see how we are all doing!! Please join me in BOYCOTTING NATIONS DIRECT!!!!!! We cannot let them step on us anymore!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your help and support!!!!!!

Jeez, calm down. There's no need to boycott.
To boycott a company implies that you otherwise would have worked for them in the first place. It's not like any of us need to be convinced to not accept $40 signings!

I have also been called by this company and have already refused my service to them. So in retrospect I have been "boycotting" them for several months now. I will be and have been telling many of my signing friends not to use this company. Nations Direct is a company that I do not service and will probably never service again. You are right Mr. Jackson. You have me on your side.

Hey Louis, while I appreciate your enthusiasm, you're beating a dead horse here as this is nothing new. ND used to be one of the best companies around, but a few years ago succumbed to offering $40 for some (although not all) of their lenders. Do a search and you'll see many comments about them.
While talking of a boycott is noble, it is also impractical so long as NNA continues to manufacture ad infinitum more and more get-rich-quick notaries who will jump at $40 jobs to gain experience; hence, ND and similar companies will have a continuous supply of fresh meat newbies to support thier low fees, and we can ignore them till doomsday and it won't really make a dent. Karma would dictate that eventually they will get what they pay for, and lenders will turn to more reliable sources where quality, experience, and dependabilty matters, but that day hasn't arrived. Nice thought, though.

Everyone in the professional signing service industry knows that Nations Direct is sloppy and going down the poop-hole. They get sub-par notaries to do their work for their sub-par company. I would never work for them!!!

Someone needs to lay off the Red Bull
WOW....
Anyway, Yeah Nation's Direct.... Don't have time for them, last time they called an offered a $40 closing, I politely referred them to their local McDonald's drive thru for someone with $40 closing credentials... The person on the other end just laughed, and very politely said thank you, and he'd look elsewhere.
At least it was a nice response lol

Good ND story
After having turned down numerous offers, I finally accepted a closing for $150....I'm in a rural area with few other Notaries. After 30 days I inquired as to where my $$$ was and was told that they pay on the 10th and 24th of the month...huh?? O K...after 45 days, a guy calls me from ND to confirm my mailing address as they got my check returned by USPS. Verified that they had it going to the right address but then I asked whether they had .37 or .39 postage on the envelope....the guy got somewhat indignant and said he would remail it. Got it 2 days later with the original envelope inside with my correct address showing and (you guessed it) only .37 postage on it. But, other than that single deal, I too boycott their $40 poop chute deals.
