CHECK THEFT UPDATE

Yesterday afternoon I attempted to get any help I could from the bank that accepted my check for deposit to someone else's account.

Because 1) I am not a customer at that bank and 2) since the idiot bank rep thinks I am only trying to get their customers information... they refused to help me --go figure!

Sooooooooo... I went to the police. They are supposed to have a detective contact me today. I'll keep everyone informed of any updates that come along.

PS-- I thought it was funny that everyone assumed that the check theif was a guy... you're all wrong. The check was endorsed and deposited by a woman!

If the bank deposited/cashed a check from a lady with the name of a man on it, then it doesn't surprise me that they are unwilling to help. Well, unless your name is Chris, Pat, etc....those can be either boys or girls names. Thanks for keeping us posted Jersey Boy.
