Calling all VERMONT notaries

I am asking that all the Vermont notaries stick together and NOT allow these companies to pay us low fees.
I have had 3 calls today for signings, all of these companies were for edocs the fees are as follows that they said they pay notaries in vermont for edocs. Now take in to consideration that this is a 80 mile round trip.
1 $60 including edocs
2 $65 including edocs
3 $60 including edcos

I did not take the signing told them that I do signings for 100 or more only. There response was all the other notaries in Vermont accept our fees.
I personally cannot work for these fees, and I am asking all notaries to look at the cost look at the HUD form and look at what ALL of these companies are making. They claim that they only get so much but they are making alot and just want to get the cheapest notary they can.
We notaries here in Vermont know who most of these companies are, I value myself and my time and do a good job. But WE all are worth more than $40-70 dollars especially when we have to travel longer than other area's.

Rutland County. I do signings in Winham, Addison, Bennington, Rutland, and Ludlow.

I've been getting a lot of similar calls... I won't even leave the house for what many companies are offering.

I discovered yesterday that instate lenders are paying much more for their notaries than out of state SS's or TC's. Local escrow company called me to do a job, I quoted just over 200 dollars, they said "is that all?!?" Needless to say, I got the assignment. Identical assignment from a well known out of state TC gave me a hard time at $175.

Oh well.
