Charm_AL revisiting pics.

I have spent the morning trying to put a picture on my profile and I have figured out how to do it. Just wondering how you crop it to make it fit. I really didn't want a life size picture on my profile, and I doubt anyone else would.

Cyndi, crop/cut it on the original and save it as a jpg. That's what I did to make mine smaller. I just cut out what I wanted.
I do have a pic that I'm trying to make smaller for another reason, I can't get the photo's pixels down to what they are supposed to be for another site, it's been driving me crazy this morning.
As you can tell, I'm the wrong person to ask about this. My pic here is half the size of the box, yet when I hit view original, it's bigger....go fig'r

If you think you're the wrong person to ask, I definately am. I somehow managed to wipe out all of the icons for notrot and was flippin' out because I couldn't see any way to get them back. After pushing enough buttons I got them back. Have to wait for my hubby to get home so he can crop for me. Took digpics yesterday and they are in comp. Just not very computer saavy to do it myself. I was hoping you were. Thanks for your reply. It sounds like it could be the blind leading the blind.HAHA BTW I love your picture with your son. You had inspired me to get it done. Just a little slow at getting around to it. Thanks again. Have a great day.

If you want, you can send that pic to me and I'll cut it down to anything you want. If you have Irfanview (free) you can cut the pixel count or the size.

RickinVA

Thanks for your response. I do not know what Irfanview is. Is it a download? (based on (free))

Re: RickinVA

I'm not Rick, but you can get Irfanview for free from -> http://www.irfanview.com/

It's the best free graphic reader around.

Thank you so much. Now maybe I won't have to wait. I'll let ya know how it goes and when I'm up. I really debated whether or not to put my picture on my profile.

Re: Charm_AL revisiting pics. Try Irfan view

Hi Charm and Cyndi. My favorite photo editing program is Irfan View and its available free. I like it because it does a lot of things very quickly and efficiently and did I mention it's free. I can crop, change chroma spec, brighten, darken, change colors, and it has special effects, by the way did I say it was free. You can get it at:

www.irfanview.com

I also own the full Corel Graphics Suite which I wouldn't trade for anything but it is expensive and has an extremely steep learning curve. I also have some of the MS products but for doing just your normal, resizing, cropping etc, Irfan View is really hard to beat and it doesn't have all those annoying things that the programs that come with your camera do. And best of all IT IS FREE

Take care you guys!
