Drs orders

I had a minor proceedure under light anesthesia today. Prior to it I had to sign a form of instructions that directed I was to read and sign prior to anesthesia. One of the items was not to sign documents for 24 hrs. The nurse was tapping her pen on that line and said something about notorial acts. I looked at her a little closer and sure enough...I had been to her house in December!
Needless to say I am having a very Happy Valentines and a day off!

Small world, huh! I had one recently, she happened mention that she use to lived in Orange County, I said so did I. Then she told me the town, so did I. Come to find out she lived across the street and down one house. She was a teenager and I was a young mother back then.

I've often wondered how it would be to run into a borrower somewhere. But I always imagined it would be at Wal-Mart or some place of that type. Never thought about the dr. office!

I run into them quite often...and often know them before hand as well. In that case I always ask if they have any reservations about me notarizing their loan docs and none have. I always record their id information and do not rely on the "is known to me" clause. I am in a largely rural area and I have been here for over 35 years. I was also a Realtor for many years...its bound to happen.
