That was the first job I did for them too. Makes a good first impression.

I received my Jan check on 2/21...postmarked 2/16. I have been working with EFS for 7 years and they are almost always on time. They are now changing to a centralized billing/payment system that may or may not be an improvement. Where you normally sent your invoice to the office for which you performed the service, now all invoices are to be sent to their regional office in Pittsburgh. The last I heard, they said that there may be a slight delay in future payments because of the differences in charges from Notary to Notary. They are trying to come up with a uniform fee structure to be applied to all Notaries.

Re: EFS - Another DEAD BEAT company

I did one closing in December for them then 2 in January. No pay.....no response to my invoices or emails. Leave messages on the voice mail but never a return call. I've had 2 calls this past week to do a closing and I've replied "I haven't even received payment for the last 3 I did, when am I going to get paid?" The scheduler's response "I don't know, I don't handle that, I can transfer you to the girl that does". So, I leave a message.... They don't impress me at all.
