Fat Aerobic instuctors (off topic)

Is it just me or are to many Aerobics instructors overweight? I go to one of three different gyms in my local area several times a week and in every one of them it seems that the Aerobics instructors are noticeably pudgy (read fat). Yesterday I watched a woman shaped like an apple lead a group of people in a class of step aerobics.

And here is the real question...why would anyone take an aerobics class from a fat person? Isn't that like taking driving instruction from a blind man? I mean, if a person can lead two or three aerobics classes a day and still look like an apple, how is it that anyone could think that going to the class once or twice a week would help them lose weight? What am I missing here?

And why would a gym hire a fat person to lead aerobics in the first place? It doesn't seem like they hire fat personal trainers as most of them appear to be in at least average physical condition, so why settle for fat aerobics instructors?
