Indiana Notary help

No one seems to be able to give me a definite answer to a split signing. How do you handle a doucment where the lender has already printed the absent borrowers name in an ack or aff? I can't notarize the document w/absent persons name on it. On the docs where I was the one putting in the borrowers name I had no problem, just on the ones where it is already preprinted. Have been told to attach general ack and also been advised to cross out absent borrowers name with single line and initial. What is the correct way.

In California either way is correct, you can line through the name or attach a loose cert.

Used to close loans in Indiana. You have a choice you can either cross thru it or attached another acknowlegement which every easier for.
