Journal question

I am in TN and we have to keep a journal I do not have anywhere on my journal to record Dr# or expiration so I don't keep that record. I usually send a copy with the docs. Well, I just received an email from the processor that she needs that information and I should have it in my notary book. I would think she can get it from the packet or the SS who got the fax.
Am I wrong to think that way?

All comments are welcome.

if you are required to keep a journal, you should definately have the Dr lic # as proof of identity. Get a different journal or add it in there somewhere. Very important entry.
This website has the mojo-good journel.

In my journal there is a section on how I identified the signer. If I check off ID, I then write the DL# and expiration date down. I suggest in the future you may want to do this from now on. If you don't have the info., you can suggest to the SS that they view it from the packet since you don't have it.

By all means, purchase the MoJo (modern journal)...

from this site. You will be VERY happy with it. I wouldn't use any other journal. The MoJo is head and shoulders above any other notary journal out there.

I agree, purchase the MoJo (modern journal)...

IMO, it's the best one out there. My only improvement would be to have a designated place for a phone number to reach the borrower if necessary, but I just write the number in the misc. block on the left hand page, along with the name of the TC/SS, number of notarizations and recording info. I check on all recorded documents and include the O.R. Book and Page in my journal for future reference; must be a hangup left from working for attorneys.
