Message Ratings Removed

The votes are in. In short:

-2x as many people wanted to remove the message ratings system than wanted to keep it.

-2x as many people wanted to revise it than wanted to leave it like it was.

-And only slightly more people wanted to change it to "abuse reporting" than leaving it like it was.

I'm not sure that was a very meaningful survey since I believe some people voted for multiple options (e.g. what they would prefer in each scenario). Interestingly, the number of people voting on Option 1 was about the same as on Option 2.

To make a long story short, I just removed the Ratings capability based on a majority opinion. It might be reincarnated later as a "Poll" system or used for internal abuse tracking. All aggregate ratings have been erased, though we still have record of the individual ratings.



Oh, and for those of you who attempted to rate your own posts:

The "1 POINT HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM YOUR ETHICS RATING" was a JOKE! It seems that some people may have taken that seriously. We don't keep an ethics rating.
