Notary Software
Any good scheduling notary software? Someone posted a few days ago about one kind of software, but I thought it was a bit pricy.

Brian- I use Quicken now since I had to transfer to a new computer. The major differece between Quicken and Quickbook....
Quicken for the most part have 2 forms you work with, invoices and checks. PERFECT for what you do. You invoice the companies you work with, and depending on how you pay yourself, you would issue a check.
Quickbooks is better if you have inventory really. You have product forms, or estimates and quote forms, etc. You don't need all that.
What's nice is Quicken is at most $30, Quickbooks at the cheapest I had seen in the Sunday paper...$199 with mail-in rebates. Choice is yours, but you really don't need much more than Quicken to track your apointments. But, it's up to you.

Re: Notary Software - not for me
I have a pile of confirmations for completed closings and when I'm paid I put the confirmations into a paid pile. And I don't have to spend time typing info into the computer.

Re: Notary Software - Mike...
You are not alone in the dark ages of organization. I too use the good 'ole paper trail method. I do however, have an Excel speadsheet that I transfer my piles to. The only draw back to this method is, you have to do it. I did get 2005 transfered thru February 05, so I'm ahead of the game this year preparring for tax season. Last year I had to sit for a weekend in March and do nothing but data input .
Nothing like putting off today what you can do tomorrow. Ugh.

Re: Notary Software - Becca...
I have a business checking account so for gross income I just write down the 12 deposit totals from each monthly statement and there's my gross income for the year. I do a spreadsheet on the 1099s I receive.

I wish you had it in MS Works format. I can't do squat with XLS stuff. And I won't buy Excel!
