OT: A glass of Mendocino Merlot, the Well Tempered
Clavier on the stereo and its time to shut the computer down for the day and just chill. A couple of signings tomorrow and maybe I can make it to Alameda by late afternoon. A weekend in San Francisco is well deserved after this week. I hope everyone had a great month. Looks like February was a winner.

I'll drink a glass of Merlot with you Charles, but I must confess, I'm a rock-n-roll chick! And yes, February was a great month.
Enjoy your San Fransisco weekend.

Where are you headed Beth? I like rockand roll...
Some of may favorite venues are in San Francisco: The Cow Palace of Course, The Great American Theater, the Hungry Eye, It's not quite the same now that Winterland is gone but then there is the Bottom of the Hill for a lot of new up and coming bands. If you like Southern Rock one of my favorite up and coming Bands is the is the Jackson Stone Band. they are from the Mendocino coast area and David Verno has a great voice. Anyway I need to get to SF for a mental health weekend, the local coyotes have been driving me nuts. I don't know whats up with that but my place has been invaded by coyotes and they like to stay up all night and sing!

My last trip to San Francisco I took the evening Alcatraz tour. I totally recommend it!! It's really neat to go over their during the day, tour it in the day, then take the boat ride back to shore at night and see all the lights.
ps - My favorite food there is the clam chowder bowl - the bread is so yummy!!!
Have fun Charles!!!!

Thanks Expedient, was that clam chowder bowl down by Fishermans Wharf?? I also like the Dungeness Crab. Dining is such a frustrating experience in SF because there are so many really really great places taht even when you know what you want then you have to decide where.
I have never been to Alcatraz, I've sailed around it but for some reason I've never actually gone. It's on my to do list. The lights are fantastic from the bay.

I loved San Fran and Fishermans Wharf! It was so much fun to take the Rice-a-roni trolleys around. AND stop talking about crab!!!

Just remember the pointy ends go sown hill, and don't kiss
any trees. I'm sure you'll have a great time! Spring skiing is my favorite!
