OT: got a computer question
Yesterday I had deleted my old HP printer software (got a new printer) I let the puter go through it's restarts and everything was fine. I shut it down manually to clean out the dust and when I rebooted there was no mouse and no keyboard. Everything boots fine up to the login window and then nothing. I have never had something like this happen. I can't even reload windows because I have no mouse or keyboard. Windows XP. any ideas

I hope you're using another computer then... ha ha..... If you use yahoo instant messenger, I can arrange for my brother to assist you via yahoo. He is a computer technician/repair person. He might be able to guide you through the process. He's good at what he does.
If you'd like for him to help you, and you have yahoo instant messenger, IM me........ my screen name is FLParalegal .
He'll do it free of charge of course.
Given that you have no keyboard/mouse... I'm not sure what he'll suggest you do. Regardless, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

My computer does this too, only its the monitor. I just keep rebooting until it works. Or you could just try unplugging the hardware, waiting a little bit, and then plugging it back in. Sometimes this works.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. But it's bad news for the motherboard. (Foxconn 400m01) Somehow the sp/2 ports were blown and it will not regonize the USB ports either. So come monday I'll bet money I buy a new motherbord.
