Resume?

Im really sorry to bother everyone but I was wondering if somebody can tell me where I can go or what I can do to create a great resume for myself reflecting my abilities as a signing agent?

This should help:

http://teleworkrecruiting.com/resume-detail.php?category=Notarizing%20and%20Signing

Those don't follow any of the standard resume formats that include your name, address, etc. If you want an example of one that does, see:

http://www.paralegalgateway.com/resume.html

It's for a paralegal, but you can alter it by using the type of information from the first link.

Good luck.

Re: Resume Ideas Please

In other words, "please let me copy your work so I don't have to do it myself".

There are tons of websites that will give you pointers on how to put a resume together. You've already been given two examples. Take some initiative and do it yourself.

Re: Excuse me????

You would be better off following the advice given. Put one together and then ask for those who would be willing to give you a critique. That's what I did and I got great advice. I used Word to make mine. Cali's opinion is just as valid as anyone else's. If you can't take a little criticism then what are you going to do when dealing with an agressive LO. Cali is blunt but HE'S 100% correct on this one.

Re: Excuse me????

If you don't want to hear opinions, you probably shouldn't post on a public message board. Any of us can give you whatever opinions we want.

If you know how to write a resume and you know what the job duties of a signing agent are, that is plenty of direction.

Thank you Cali. For the last few days, I thought you took a damn happy pill or something. It's about time you're back to normal.

Re: Excuse me???? What happened to Mr. Fantastic???

No seriously, Cali gave good advice. If you want someone to critique as was mentioned above then ask for advice. But no one but you can do your resume.

Re: Resume Ideas Please

Any grown adult that doesn't know how to develop a resume needs to learn. This is an important skill. I think the first two links you were given will be very helpful. I'm sure we'd all be happy to help you once you've actually got something to show us.

You - Effort = Us - Assistance
You - Lazy = Us - Cranky answers

Re: 71.56.206.79

All I want to say is that when people post on here asking a question, all they are looking for is guidance. If you feel the question is stupid or inappropriate then don't respont to that particular thread, you dont need to constatly make your voice heard in a disrespectful manner. Im sure that there are decent people out there who are willing to help because they remember what it was like to be starting off from scratch. Are you telling me that you decided to get into this industry and you never made any mistakes or asked stupid questions or asked for help in general????....anyway, I guess it doesnt matter. I just dont see any need to be rude, disrespectful or stuck up. We all start somehow and I think we should be appreciative and help one another.

Re: 71.56.206.79

Actually, yes. When I first started I didn't have any guidance whatsoever, I never even knew about this board. I had to search and learn all on my own.

I met with one of my signing agents yesterday, he did a signing for me the other day, it was his very first one so I wanted to meet him in person and double check the docs before they were sent back to the tc. There was not one mistake in the whole package.

If you go to Yahoo and type in signing agent resume I bet you'd get a great response! It's questions like these that get frustrating because your answers are readily available at your very own finger tips.

Re: 71.56.206.79

First, let me state that I don't post regularly but read the posts all the time. I don't think Cali or anyone else thinks your post was "stupid". However, if I ask someone what I need to do to build a good resume and that question is answered sufficiently, why would you then ask for someone's resume? Have you even tried the recommended web sites? I've been a notary since July but I wouldn't ask anyone to hand me copies of something they've worked hard to do for themselves. Someone suggested doing one and then asking someone to critique. Have you done that yet?
