Sign on the X Strikes Again
Got a call from sign on the X, took the assignment still have not paid AND I got a chargeback on my UPS account for $33.58, because they gave me a bad UPS number. I have faxed them numerous times, no response. What a pain!

Sorry for your trouble. If you create your shipments online for UPS (and Fedex and DHL for that matter) the website will tell you if the account number is active or not. I have saved a few dollars this way.

I had payment problems last year with the ONE closing I did for them also. I kept calling only to have to leave a voice mail message. I decided to email the Lender. It only took one day before SOX was on the phone to me with a promise of a check to be cut and sent and it was, within 3 days. Then they called and requested I notify the lender. It might help if you do that. At least it couldn't "hurt" anything could it?

The only way to make absolutely sure shipments are NOT charged back to you is to make out hand-written labels using the TC's name and address as the SHIPPER and RECEIVER.

Another precaution I take for this is to N/A the line "Senders Fed Ex/UPS Number".

I got a check from them after I reported them to BBB...
there was a link here not too long ago and I followed it. Reported them and got paid right away. It was, however, 119 days after the signing.
They've called me since and I LOOOVE to turn them down, especially for last minute signings. "Yeah, I could do that, except I won't because it took 119 days to pay me for the 1st and last signing I ever did for your company."
