Signatures with aka's
I have to have a Br sign a Mortgage tomorrow am that was already signed in August. I'm going to have the wife sign with an aka. I have Certified copy with it hand written in under her name that is typed in, AKA Jane B. Doe. On the signature page they have an sticker with "sign here" above her other signature for her to sign as the AKA Jane B. Doe. They also have a sticker with and arrow for me to "Notarize". Well there isn't any wording. On the Notarial page they have another sticker with an arrow to "Notarize" below the first notary. I do understand what they want but I didn't think I could actually notarize without the proper wording in place, or at least some wording. Maybe it's late and I'm not seeing the forrest for the trees. Can some one help me out here? Should I just attach a loose ack or what? I have looked all through my primer but didn't locate anything with this senario. Thanks Beverly

Beverly, there is absolutley nothing wrong with you calling the entity that hired you and stating : " Hi, you want this form notarized and it doesn't have the proper wording since I can't choose the certificate because it would be UPL I need you to tell me what you want me to attach." ( this of course in your own proffesional words)
