Snow Storm -2006

How is the east coast making out with the first snow storm of 2006. We lost electric & cable at 5am.Thank god for the generator. We are back in service now... The main roads will be clear for business tommorrow!

Re: Snow Storm -2006 Be Safe

We are yet to have snow here this year, only a few very light dustings, that were gone the same day. I'm ready to move into spring if we aren't going to get some sort of rainfall. They are suggesting rain this next weekend, we'll see. Do be careful on your signings tomorrow. I seldom mind driving on snow but ice, another story.

So far, the snow is not too bad. We've yet to be hit hard. It is supposed to get worse later this afternoon. Luckily, the snow is light and fluffy so removal is easy. But it is blowing around like crazy!

I have one appointment in the evening tomorrow - roads should be clear. Unfortunately, I have an exam tomorrow am (I graduate this may with a degree in Nursing!) I just want to get the exam over with although if is is postponed until Thursday - that would give me a few extra days to study. I will not be that lucky! Wish me luck on my exam. And all those on the East Coast - stay warm and safe.

Dee

You know I have been known to be on my deck at 3 a.m. in the morning shoveling the white fluffy powder, snow can get heavy and a bear to move. Great career choice, good luck on your test tomorrow.

Re: Good Luck!dbl

Storm hasn't hit here yet, but it's on it's way north. We aren't supposed to get as much as the lower part of the state, but wish we would. (I can't believe I'm saying that!) We depend on the snow for snowmobilers in the winter. Although we do have some, but not nearly as much as usual, it's not stopping the many many sledders that come every weekend. My son just left to go back to Concord NH where he lives, hope he gets there before it gets too bad. (Mother's worries...do they ever ease up?)

Good luck on your exam dbl! We need good nurses all over this country.

We never lost power in the western part of the state. We ended up with 18" though.

we got about 12" in Harford county, adn did not lose power. Roads are already cleared, I went out to Wal-Mart this morning. What a good time to go the parking lot wasn't full for once.

I'm in MA.....

and it is horrible!!! Thank God that it is Sunday! :p

So far we probably have over a foot of snow here. I live on a "hide-away" street and it hasn't been plowed yet by the town. I'm usually one of the last streets to get plowed. Hopefully nothing happens that requires an ambulance!! Smile

We reportedly got 18" but didn't lose power either. Hope the remaining states getting snow fair well.
