This hand-holding crap stinks....VENT!
How unprofessional is it to get a call in the middle of the signing to make sure you have this doc and that doc and what is the tracking #, especially when you told them all that before the signing. It is sooooo embarrassing to go through this in front of the borrower. I have never been through this before. Verify info on docs BEFORE the signing. Get the tracking # AFTER the signing is complete....
Thank you....I needed to get that out of my system. Waiting for next set of docs. Everyone have a great day!

Wow, I can't say I've had this happen. In the middle of the signing? Totally unprofessional. This would be the last signing I do for them.

Re: I agree with Beth never again
Since most companies call me with the appt. time already in place, I can't buy the "we didn't know you were in the signing" story. I have a strict policy of not working for notary babysitters.

I know one SS that won't do it again. SS wanted to check with borrower that I was there on time. Borrower told SS in no uncertin terms just were to get off the train, and she was ex-navy.

All that AND the SS told me this company would be on the phone with the BWR during the signing in case of questions! I told them it was ridiculous and how was I supposed to keep the BWR's attention with the LO talking in their other ear! DUH!

PSS will call the borrower to see if you have arrived on time? I think that is crazy!!!!!!

That's one of the many reasons why I don't do PSS loans.

Well, I don't work for no $50 bucks. But hey, I'm not some wannabe working on my $100,000 easy money. I guess I've been spoiled by the companies that ARE professional and know what kind of results they get from me. This was my first time with a situation like this and not so sure I want to revisit the situation again.

Oh we've been through that one. My daughter and I are partners, so I love when they call her 5 mins into the signing time and ask if I have completed the signing yet, and does she have a tracking number. Then if she tells them no, the signing just began, she will call them when I am through, they proceed to call me in the middle of the signing and ask if I am done yet "because the girl in your office said to call you and ask". Yeah, right.
