Ticor Title no pay
I did one for them almost a year ago...late April.
I've been trying to get paid ever since.
Ticor is out of Fullerton, Ca.
Maybe they're a great company...but no matter what I do I can't seem to get paid.
Invoiced them...and did all the things that one should do. ZIP!
They don't answer faxes, don't return phone calls, shuffle you off from one dunderhead to another and nobody has answers.
Any of have have any inside contact info with this outfit? Maybe I'm not getting to the right person. Heck, at this stage I'd take any person that knows something.
Obviously, I won't take any more from them.
I even tried breath mints before I called. That didn't do any good either.

I have done several for Ticor, and always found then good to work for.
If you are sure the fault does not lie with you, and you are serious about getting paid, you may want to try these people.

Re: IS IT JUST ME ....I'm sorry Ray but kicking the crap
out of debtors is generally frowned upon in CA (may be why there are so many here). Personally, I think its a very effective technique but its just not worth the trouble. In Texas, if I remember correctly, you just shoot them if they don't pay, right!
I remember when my daughter was in middle school. One day I came to pick her and she was walking down the street with a bicycle that was not hers. Hot on her was heels was this kid crying and begging her to let him have his bike back. I was upset that she would take another kids bike and then I learned that she had lent him a dollar and he promised to pay it back and then he asked to borrow another which my daughter lent him with the promise he would pay her back on aspecific day. Well that day came and he didn't so my daughter took his bike as collateral. We got it worked out!

You must have been so proud. Not letting others take advantage of her (daughter). You obviously trained her well.

I don't believe that I had anything to do with it!
Yes I was proud. But she seems to have come hardwired that way.

Call Mr. Borrower and nicely tell him you need to collect..
and that you will mail him/them the bill and include forms for them to complete for reimbursement from the SS/TC/Lender. It work's every time. But, first, send Ticor a certified letter telling them you will seek payment from the borrower if not paid within 7 calender days.
If the closing fell thru you should write it off as a bad debt. I give companies 45 days then I fax final notice of intent to collect from the borrower. In Florida, the law states that I have the right to collect a fee from the signer..THAT'S Mr. & Mrs. Borrower

Re: Don't EVER call Borrowers for payment.
Our fees are included in the loan docs, and Borrowers have already paid them.

Re: P.S. Double billing/double dipping
There are numerous reasons not to contact Borrower for payment. As I've already mentioned, they have already paid in a round-about way in the docs. My own billing program adds income each time an invoice is created. If I've already billed the SS or TC and then turn around and bill the Borrowers, this is double dipping/double billing. For a person so worried about an IRS audit, this is something you should consider.
And the last consideration, even if you could collect from the Borrowers themselves, you could only collect general notarization rates and possibly mileage.
