Trying to get together in CA

I'm going to be in Palm Springs later this week and part of next and then I'll be Orange County probably around the 5th of March for a week or so. I've just got to get out of this rain and cold. I'd love to get together with a group!

Now I would drive the pass to go. It would be great to meet some of you before we head to TX. There's tons of places in Riverside. Sunday is pretty busy. We'll have to meet somewhere that will take reservations. Unfortunately that may rule out Don Jose's.

It's a beautiful old mission style hotel and restaurant in the heart of downtown historic Riverside (I sound like a Chamber ad). The food is wonderful, the ambience is better.

They have those nifty programs that you just talk and it types whatever you are saying. Though Ithink you could get into trouble with that if you forget it is on. LOL

I used to demo those nifty "talking" programs...

It was Dragon Naturally Speaking and I demoed it at CompUSA and Fry's during the Christmas season about 8 years ago!!! (Time flies!) It was fun.. they had me standing at the entrance to the store and people saw me talking (not realizing what I was doing... thought I was nuts), and then when they realized what I was saying is what was appearing on the monitor screen, their reaction was priceless!

I am in Oakley which is in Contra Costa County (far east), which is about 40 miles from Dixon. I did read that there was a recent lunheon in the Sacramento/Roseville area. I would be interested in a get together, to meet other notaries in my surrounding area. Maybe we can find others from Contra Costa County, Solano County, and San Joaquin County and schedule something in one of these areas.

Tentatively count me in. Riverside is a hundred miles from me, but it'd sure be fun to meet some of y'all. I have friends over there I could stay the weekend with. Mission Inn is really good, been there for lunch once, but I'm up for whatever. More about the company than the food. :o)
