Update : I received a $5 check today

I posted last week that instead of $175 I had received $170 from a lender. After reading your comments I went ahead and invoiced the lender, as TitleGal mentioned, she said it was a mistake and appreciated that I was polite in my email and that she will most likely call me again because they like to work with the same notaries.

My second good news is that I received a full payment for a signing in which the borrowers refused to sign, they didn't sign a single document! I used the form that PAW has on his website for when a borrower declines to sign and I included it with my invoice, to my surprise I received payment. After this I don't know if I'll want to go back to SSs that don't want to pay full fees when a signing goes through.

You can go to my website (see profile for URL), click on the "Forms" menu item, then view/download the "Notice of Refusal" form. (Hopefully, that's the form you were looking for.)
