Updated my Website - Need Opinions....

Okay, okay, you've gotten enough critique from me... so please do the same.

Its 2:30am, and after neglecting the gf for the majority of the day...this is what I got Smiley

Who's the guy on your site? Doesn't look like the picture in your profile here!

I had no idea that Ohio had that many counties and that they were broken up so evenly in size. It's definitely a different ballgame in California, but would explain why I get so many calls for cities over 100 miles away from me, yet are in my neighboring county.

The site looks great, I can't think of any suggestions to make.

hehe, Guy is a stock photo...

Couldn't find one of myself that i liked, so I put him up. I figure until I get a comparable picture of myself.

I figured i'd put something I could picture a Title Girl Going...."Now I'd like him to close my loan", lets order the closing from Him.

Shane, what's a Title Girl look like?

I may be sorry I asked this...is this a lady in a suit looking like a stressed out EO, or someone of the Laker's Cheerleader variety?

A Title Girl looks like....

My stunning girlfriend hehe... who used to do my title work when I was an LO. Met her at an office party, fell in love, relocated to Columbus, OH for her, bought a house to live with her and her beautiful 4 year old daughter.... Planning on marrying when she graduates college in a year. (we'd be married now, but as long as she's a single mom, the gov't pays the tuition)...might as well milk them some.

So......... I have had good experiences with them Smiley

I know there's a joke in here somewhere about the tongue being the real reason your girlfriend likes you.

Hi Shane, Nice start to your site. I have just a couple suggestions. First off in the paragraph you talk about your certifications, you right "I am currently hold". I think you mean you are currently holding certification....
Secondly the membership logos on your home page are blocking your navigation menu making it difficult to see your other pages. Perhaps you could move them somewhere else on the page.
Other than those two minor things it looks and sounds great. Nice job!

Just a couple of comments, but overall, a nice site. I like it.

Looks fine in IE, but graphic/text overlaps in Firefox.

Email address in header doesn't match address in the webring navigation block.

Thanks for noticing...

I completely overlooked the email addy in the webring....I changed it to reflect the new site.

I did design the site with the IE user in mind, I have yet to create the firefox friendly site.

Appreciate your comments, and added your site to the links.

Firefox....

Hmmm... I dl'd firefox and I have no trouble viewing the site?
I tried changing the viewing resolution to 800 x 600, and there was a little overlap, but I think I've corrected that.

I'll have to look at the site from another PC, to be sure.

Question about graphics

Shane, I like your site. Simple design. I plan to do something similar in the near future.

Question for you or anyone else who can answer regarding graphics. I have seen some that I want to use (i.e. photo of hand signing a document, etc.). Is it permissable to use these? Are these types of graphics considered "public domain"?

And what about links? I know the NNA has a linking policy. What about others? Do you need someone's permission to link to their site?

Thanks.

By the way, the background for your site is the same background I used for the business cards I got from overnight prints.

Very good set up ---for the most part.
The map to show the counties you cover is a great idea and clever, too.
Like the fees section, and even like the "fake" Shane.

Regarding graphics....

Some pictures you come across may be public domain, others may be copyrighted, and others you can purchase from a stock photo site for a relatively cheap fee.

The guy picture cost me a $1 to utilize, but I can use it anytime anywhere now.

and the background is what i use for my business cards too. Thats where I got the idea.

Re: Regarding graphics....

I'll replace the other photo when I get one that looks professional enough to put on the website.

Just need to don my suit and get a quality picture taken. Until then its a filler.

Hi Shane,

Looks good. The "fake" Shane is covering up the right side of the wording. In your 'Useful Link' link, while on that particular page, the 'e' is mostly hidden in the word useful. Seems to happen after I put my curser over it. Not sure why???

Have a great day!

Linking to other sites....

Reciprocal links increase traffic to your site, and aid in the ranking of search engines.
The more links that point to your site, the higher ranking your site will have when someone searches for it....therefore; by doing reciprocal links, both sites better their chance of being found on the 1st page of a websearch..

Looks great Shane - except on your profile where your picture is I would say "I am a Certified... instead if I am an- just a grammar thing. Also, looking at your site I noticed that where the words "Contact me" were, the NNA symbol covered a lot of that up. Just trying to be of some help.
