WorldWide Notary

Good afternoon to all.
I the private notary from Ukraine. It is the country in the former USSR space. My work is very interesting to me and I would like to exchange experience with my colleagues worldwide. It is possible to make a site where it is possible to conduct the common business and to help each other. Tell what at you there are problems. What quotations. What interests in Ukraine can a life or what interests can be at me in your place. Any ideas. Thank

Hello Evgeniya, and welcome. I too would like to exchange experiences with notaries worldwide. So far my knowledge is only of German notaries. So this is a good opportunity to learn something about Ukrainians.

I am interested to know what your thoughts are on the differences between notaries here in the U.S. and notaries in the Ukraine. As you know, here in the U.S. our powers are much more limited than what you are accustomed to in the Ukraine.

Also, here in the U.S. all of us are public notaries. You say that you are a private notary. I am interested in what distinguishes a private notary from a public notary in the Ukraine. Is it a personal decision that one makes? Is there a different type of certification?

There is a lot that we can learn from you, so I hope you don't mind a lot of questions. If you would like to, you can email me at -- [e-mail address]

Hello Leon.
I want to give you the address which has made for dialogue on this site. [e-mail address].
In Ukraine there are two kinds of notaries. Private and state (goverment). A difference that state receives a payment from the state irrespective of amount of the made work and work only under the prices as the established government. The private notary receives so much money - how many has earned, but can work under any prices established for itself (they cannot be below state). Distinctions in the certificate are not present. But there are distinctions in the reporting and the tax reporting. Also private notaries cannot carry out registration of inheritances. It make only state notary. I am very glad that you were interested with my theme and shall be glad to answer any questions. I know about notary powers in the USA a little. Why they are more limited?

I shall answer the question Mary Pierce. I from Ukraine. I have chosen WY/Wyoming in the questionnaire on this site for the reason that there is no choice of places except for the USA. Actually I from Ukraine Donetsk area the city of Kramatorsk.
I shall be glad to answer any other questions and to listen to you. Tell me how notaries work in your country?
