Wrong state appearing after name

Does anyone know how the state of person posting a message is determined. My says Barb25 of FL. I am in New York. (By the way I used to be in Florida but changed all of my contact info.) Thanks.

Right now I think the message has the right state and I am IN the wrong state. Sure wish I was back in Florida now.
